- NRG’s purchase of generation assets from First Energy,
- an Independent power company’s bid for Cogentrix,
- a major utility’s bid for Florida Gas
Transmission pipeline,
- El Paso Corp’s sale of it’s contracted
generation assets,
- the sale of Valley Resources, a regional natural gas
distribution company;
- and equity, convertible and fixed income
(investment grade and high yield) transactions for AGL Resources,
Reliant Resources, Mirant Corp, Southern Company, Progress Energy, FPL
Group, Cinergy Corp, Western Resources, IDA Corp, CLECO Corporation.
Mr. Shakir earned a Bachelor Of Business Administration from the
University Of Texas At El Paso; and earned a Master Of Business
Administration from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School Of
Management.
